she is back to square one in recovering.  no moving, bending, coughing or anything that cause her to flex her abdomen.  if this didn't happen she was a day or two from being released -

Billly wrote : Update on grandma:  she has been relased from ICU but we are waiting for a bed/room to become available. She may be here in ICU all day until a room opens up.  She is still anemic and they plan on giving her blood today to bring her blood count back up and also her iron. They said she will have more energy afterwords.
she will receive physical therapy after she gets out of the hospital.   She is doing good today. She gets a smile everytime we tell her someone posted a fb message bout her.  So keep the messages coming!   They are like little get well cards that light up her face everytime.  Love u all!

maiking progress

Grandma had a good day. She was awake and talking with us all day. She ate and took a small walk around the ICU.  She will b in ICU probably until tomorrow But they probably won't release her from the hospital for a couple of days.  She is still weak.   But the doctors and especially the nurses are taking excellent care of her... and us. They answer all our questions

latest news

Gram has atrial fibrillation which is why she gets exhausted so easily.  A normal heart beats like lub dub.  Lub dub. But grams heart goes luuuuub dub lub duuuub so . her heart does pump just not efficently.  It got to 150 bpm which is a normal if she was sprinting but she was just laying still.  The new meds (beta blockers) will set her heart to a normal rythm.she is also being treated for anemia which explains a lot. she has a new dr. now that seems to be addressing some issues that may have been there for a while this Dr. seems to be doing a great job

6-2 More test results back new heart issue

Well  Billy reported : today they discovered she has an atrial fibrulation, for now they have what they call a pick in her arm to draw blood. She was having trouble with her veins rolling  so they opted for the pick . her arms are pretty black and blue . we are waiting to hear more on  the new heart issue we should know more shortly
